Pros & Cons: Nars Sheer Glow, Bobbi Brown & MAC Foundation

FYI - This is the back of my arm which is way lighter than the rest of my body

I recently purchased the Nars Sheer Glow foundation, and after using it I couldn't quite help myself but compare it to the other two foundations I've recently been using. I was going to do a full review on the Nars foundation, but thought I'd just share my views on all three foundations as it would be much more helpful *I hope*.

Nars Sheer Glow Foundation (Barcelona)

PROS
 
- Medium to High Coverage
- Great for warm skin tones
- Great foundation for good photos

CONS

-Semi Matte finish (even though it's called sheer glow!)
-No pump
- Doesn't last longer than 5 hours
- Heavy
- For best results, it's recommended that you use your fingers to apply (I hate using my fingers -ever since I got the Real Techniques Buffing Brush!)
- Transfers
-No SPF

Bobbi Brown Skin Foundation (No.4 Natural)

 

£30.00

PROS 

- Lightweight foundation
- You only need to apply a small amount (the bottle lasts you a long time)
-Gives you a dewy, natural look which is what you want!
- Medium coverage, however it's buildable.
- Doesn't make you look 'cakey'
-SPF 15
 

CONS

- Not good for oily skin

MAC Studio Fix Fluid Foundation (NC35/NC37)

£20.50

PROS

-High Coverage
- Don't need much concealer when wearing this
-SPF 15


CONS

 

- Too thick

- Can make you look 'cakey'

- Visible on the skin

- Doesn't give you the natural look at all

 

I guess you know which foundation I love the most right? Bobbi Brown! Honestly I love it so much, I was so excited to try Nars after hearing almost everyone rave about it, but I was really disappointed. I love a foundation that is light and makes you look really natural, that's the look I go for everyday. I like to use a higher coverage foundation if I'm going out, a special occasion or something so Nars will come really hand then. I hope this post will really help you if you're thinking of buying any of these foundations. Please let me know if I do, because it will make my day!
