S/S 2013 Beauty Trends

I know it's a little early to talk about S/S 2013, but I'm hoping the more I talk about it the quicker it will come around. Well, I'm pretty sure you're all aware of the fashion trends for 2013 but do you know what the beauty trends are for S/S 2013?...

 

 

Pink is The New Red:
Think pink lips, pink nails, pink blushers and even pink eye shadows! Last year was all about the red lip and classic red nails, well this Spring / Summer is all about coral pinks, baby pinks and hot pinks. It's one of my favourite colours, so I'm loving this trend.
 

 

Bright Coloured Matte Lips:

The whole colour pop thing is back again, so it's all about a splash of colour on your lips but MATTE style. All colours can be worn: Pink, Red, Coral & Orange

 

 

Long Fluttery Lashes:

Now this is my favourite S/S trend! Long fluttery and feminine lashes are in. You can bring out those falsies this season as it's all about long exaggerated eyelashes. One thing to remember if you're going to wear falsies, cut the ends so they fit your eye as they look really silly when the actual eyelash is bigger then your eye!

 

 

60's Inspired Makeup:

Bold eyeliner, a nude or classic red lip and most importantly Bold Brows! The whole 60's makeup trend was seen a lot on the catwalk. I'm not a huge fan of the image below but I do love bold eyeliner and a nude or classic red lip!

 

 

The 'No Makeup' Look:

The whole 'no makeup' thing is always in the trends whether it's A/W or S/S. I personally love this look as it's very natural and it isn't obvious that you're wearing makeup. I love this trend!

 

Bright Eyes:

Hmm now if I'm honest, I'm not too keen on this but hey if you like it good for you. This season bright eyes are in. So opt for a brighter and bold colour on your eyelids like hot pinks, blues and bright greens. Personally how I'd adapt to this trend is by using a coloured eye liner on your lids, or even a coloured eye pencil on your lower lash line?
